The accounting software that you should be using is up to you. I would suggest it be one that you are comfortable using, services your business needs and be in an affordable price range. The majority of accounting programs are online (generally secure) and you are able to invite users. Being able to invite an advisor (accountant) saves time and gives your accountant/adviser access to your information in real time.
There are many accounting programs available, they all have the advantages and disadvantages. Try the demo's, go through the training information and ask questions. You can change software providers but it may be cheaper and easier to spend more time on the investigation side of things than to change software providers because of dis-satisfaction. Of course sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and take the hard road at the start to ensure a smoother experience in the longer term.
Below are a few YouTube videos about some of the accounting programs available. I admit that I do find Xero one of the easier programs to navigate around. This being said I have used quite a few different programs over the years and find all have good and bad points. I don't have a preference to the program if a client is using a different program, as long as it is comfortable to use and fulfilling the clients business needs and you are able to invite an accountant/advisor to access the program.
I advise, answer questions and supply options but you the business owner/operator are the one that makes and is responsible for the decisions concerning your business.
